BASIX certificate questions, answered

In NSW you need one for a pool or spa over 40,000 litres, and for alterations or additions with an estimated cost of $50,000 or more, before your DA or CDC can be determined.

Yes. Both prices include the $33 NSW Government BASIX registration fee. GST is added at checkout: $130.90 all up for a pool, $174.90 for alterations and additions.

Assessed within 2 business hours and emailed the same business day when you order by 3pm (Sydney), Monday to Friday. After that, the next business day. If you paid before 3pm on a weekday, gave us complete information and we miss same-day delivery for reasons within our control, you choose a refund or 50% off the service price.

A BASIX certificate must be submitted with your DA or CDC within three months of its date of issue.

We resolve it with you, showing the simple changes that get you there, and issue a certificate you can build to.

You get one free revision within 60 days, for the same project and property. Any additional government fee is passed on. The commitments become build obligations checked at final inspection, so keep the certificate matching your build.

Not at this stage. A new dwelling needs a full NatHERS thermal assessment alongside BASIX. Get in touch and we will point you toward an accredited assessor.

You can. The NSW BASIX tool is public and the fee is around $33. But it asks for details most people do not have on hand and expects you to meet the targets yourself. We do it for you, resolve the targets, include the fee, and have it back the same business day.
